About SCCP
Seattle Community Colocation Project (SCCP) provides colocation to social justice organizations, the free software movement, and linux hobbyists. We provide service on a sliding-scale and pay-what-you-can basis. Seattle Community Colocation is a non-profit, democratic, and member run organization founded on the principle of mutual aid.
SCCP started with our first cabinet in August 2004, inspired by the example of the California Community Colocation Project (the original no longer exists but has been replaced by the
San Francisco CCP), and other fledging community colos (
Chicago,
Toronto,
New York and
DC). To date, we have two cabinets and 35 hosted servers.
In order to colocate a server with SCCP, the box must meet the following conditions:
- No for-profit activity of any kind. Commercial activity conducted by a non-profit organization is OK.
- SCCP must have available capacity in terms of space, bandwidth, power, and funds.
- You read and agree to our terms of service.
