About SCCP

Seattle Community Colocation Project (SCCP) provides colocation to social justice organizations, the free software movement, and linux hobbyists. We provide service on a sliding-scale and pay-what-you-can basis. Seattle Community Colocation is a non-profit, democratic, and member run organization founded on the principle of mutual aid.

SCCP started with our first cabinet in August 2004, inspired by the example of the California Community Colocation Project (the original no longer exists but has been replaced by the San Francisco CCP), and other fledging community colos. There used to be projects in NYC, Chicago and Toronto, but are no more, if you know of any other community colocation projects, or are starting your own, please let us know so we can feature them here! To date, we have two cabinets and 35 hosted servers.
